About the Role:


We are seeking a Linux and Cloud support specialist that is looking for a challenge to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented and work well in a fast paced environment. The candidate must be passionate about Linux Administration, AWS Cloud Computing, Automation, and have a solid base in IT and support. In this role, the Linux System Administrator will be responsible for the overall Production infrastructure, with overlap into other disciplines.


What You’ll Do:



  • Monitor all aspects of Production and Development and DR infrastructure

  • Linux/AWS system administration

  • Perform security analysis and mitigate security threats

  • Monitor and optimize system performance

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive measures

  • Configuration management and process automation

  • Ensure reliability of critical infrastructure components

  • Own issues from start to resolution

  • Contribute content to our knowledge base and help build processes that will scale

  • Be available on call and perform routine night and weekend work

  • Implement PostgresQL changes and monitor the database infrastructure


Skills & Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of experience with Enterprise Linux System Administration

  • Strong understanding of Linux and AWS cloud based systems (EC2, RDS, VPC)

  • Strong background in IT fundamentals

  • Experience with scripting (Bash, Python) and process automation

  • Nagios or similar monitoring experience

  • Experience with PostgresQL administration

  • Strong communication skills - comfortable talking to technical and nontechnical customers, developers and business

  • Ability to wear multiple hats and multitask effectively in a fast paced environment

  • Track issues and follow up in a timely manner

  • Demonstrate experience in the creation and management of technical documentation

  • Windows support experience a plus
