Title: Sr. Software Engineer

ALEX is looking for a strong results driven Software Engineer to support an enterprise-level data migration program.
The ideal candidate works with the team to:
Understand the software requirements, design the software, and subsequently build the software to support the responses and findings, using best practices to include DevSecOps, Extract Transform & Load (ETL), Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Agile, and Scrum development processes.Provide design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, operation, and modernization of software applications to support the development of methodologies and transition paths for data migration and ingestion in accordance with ITIL best practices.Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Supports researching and/or creating tools and may write code/scripts for algorithms and NLP.Create automated process and methodologies to automated ingestion into the Data/Ontology Model.Ensure security classification and security levels are intact during ingestion.Scraping and ingest structured and unstructured survey data received from the sites.Build the interface to host the environment that contains the analysis information.Follow Agile workflow and works with the Senior Software Engineer to identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies.Work with the database team to adapt existing java Data Access Layers (DAL) to connect existing applications and systems to the new cloud-based MIDB database.Ensure that legacy applications with the new system are in the cloud.Create automated process and methodologies to automated ingestion, database scrubbing, redesign, and rehosting of the data from Sybase into the data store and Data/Ontology Model.Ensure the legacy Sybase database data is synchronized with the new cloud-based database until the legacy system is retired.Ensure security classification and security levels are intact during ingestion.Follow Agile workflow and identifies opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Meet and maintain active Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance requirement.Experience with Data Lake, ingestion process, ETL, workflow automation, BPM/BPMN workflow engines; NLP tools libraries, frameworks; AI/ML framework tools (configure).
Education and Certifications:
BA/BS and 5-14 years of experience (additional 4 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree)
