DUTIES: Provide technical leadership within the Xfinity Mobile Back Office (MBO) team, responsible for supporting back office business processes by performing service integration between sales, order management, customer care, and customer portal systems for current generation and next generation platforms; collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to collect and understand requests for complex, mission-critical solutions and translate into defined technical requirements; utilize DevOps methodologies to define and implement the technical delivery of Xfinity Mobile system architecture, operations, and development needs for the Xfinity MBO service platform, including performing Java-based microservice architecture and development using Spring framework applications, Netflix OSS (Zuul), Ribbon, Hystrix, Eureka, and Feign; architect solutions that follow an automated continuous integration/continuous deployment processes with resilient, scaled performance using Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and CloudFoundry systems; utilize knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS), SQL and NoSQL data storage, SOAP and REST API management, XML, HTTP, distributed configuration management, advanced messaging technologies and practices using Kafka, and AppDynamics performance monitoring and tuning to perform system integrations on internal and external systems; utilize Apache JMeter to analyze and measure system performance; define and complete Agile scrum stories that cover design solutions for new features, new technologies, and more complex development; monitor current and future trends, technology, technology practices, and other information relevant to organizational projects, and then apply and integrate these trends to new and existing systems architecture; remain up-to-date on complex, emerging domain rules, collaborating with external vendors to understand newly implemented or updated technologies; review and verify that all codes and object-oriented designs follow best practices, coding guidelines, security standards, and architectural guidelines; and mentor, train, and provide guidance to junior-level engineers.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and five (5) years of experience in software design, development and performance tuning, including performing Java-based application & microservice development using Spring framework in Agile/Scrum environment, of which three (3) years must include utilizing the following: SQL, HTTP, SOAP, REST, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, Python and JMeter.
