The Advanced Business Communications group is a dynamic and agile team responsible for creating new communications services for Comcast business customers. We are experienced, creative, and we work together as a team to make innovative services a reality. We are seeking a talented and motivated software tester to join us.
Our projects cover a wide spectrum: creating real-time communications solutions for businesses, developing software integration to Comcast's advanced services, using software to rethink and redesign the customer experience, and creating intuitive interfaces for our services.
We are looking for a QA Engineer with experience in web-based and Graphical User Interface (GUI). The successful candidate will have proficiency in several testing tools and experience in different testing environments. The candidate will also have experience with browser-based applications and how to test and troubleshoot both front and back-end components.
-Review requirements, analyze, create and execute test cases of new functionality using industry-leading automated testing tools
-Create and execute comprehensible, repeatable, and measureable regression test suites for existing functionality
-Test and troubleshoot software and interfaces, support end to end and performance testing and other tasks to complete projects
-Configure and support ABC OSS and ABC-powered OSS including the management, maintenance, setup, and modification of continuous build environments.
-Manage tickets and solutions related to the ABC production OSS environment. Includes identifying cause, proposing and implementing solutions.
-Work with outside teams to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
-Create, manage and distribute client communications and updates
-Work with requirements and development teams in the design and implementation of new products
-Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. May be asked to support the team by participating in an after-hours on call rotation.
-Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
-Experience creating QA work products (Use Cases, Test Cases, Test Plans, etc.)
-Strong, proactive problem solving abilities
-Solid understanding of SDLC principles and practices
-Knowledge of the Agile Methodology
-Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
-Knowledge of an RDBMS system such as MySQL or Oracle
-Experience with the query language SQL
-Ability to work both independently as well as in teams
-Ability and willingness to work with internal and external customers
-Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
-Ability and desire to learn
-Knowledge of the telecommunications industry; preferably VoIP
-API testing experience
-REST testing experience
-Automated testing experience
-BroadSoft Platform knowledge
-API Testing Tool (SoapUI, SOATest, etc.)
-Automated Testing Tool (UFT, Selenium, etc.)
-Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
-Information Sciences, Technology, Computer Science
-Requires 2-5years related experience
