FDW Environment Management is responsible for managing and monitoring the Unix and Oracle database environments for Risk and Finance Technologies (RFT). The group allocates access to numerous development and testing environments among the many development and testing teams for all lines of business (LOB) that various environments.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
Advanced knowledge of architecture, design across all systems.
Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices.
Keen understanding of financial control and budget management.
Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
Setup, maintain and support all non-production environments to include ETL and database environments setup.
Unix and database user ID assignment and management.
Database reference data refreshes.
ETL configurations management and installation coordination.
Data model changes tracking and installation coordination.
ETL code migration tracking and coordination.
Responsible for all defect resolution of Environment issues assigned to team.
Post-implementation waterfall coordination of ETL code, data model and configurations.
Moderately skilled in the use of Unix, specifically AIX; programming in Korn Shell & Oracle (v10, V11).
Moderately skilled in the use of and programming in Perl & Microsoft Office applications.
Moderately skilled in the functioning and use of ETL, experience with Ab Initio a plus (will consider other tools such as Informatica); must be willing to learn!
Familiar with Control-M, Code versioning software and processes (i.e. Subversion).
