Front End Web Developer

Job Description

The Front-End Website Developer collaborates with other Developers, SEO department, Management, and Clients on a variety of web development tasks. Front end tasks include prototyping designs, modifying designs, or converting a website to or from a CMS.
An ideal candidate would have experience working in a web development agency setting, however this is not required. It is expected that a candidate will know how to independently use a variety of testing tools to validate the quality of their work and identify things to improve. The candidate should have some experience working with ecommerce systems such as WooCommerce or Shopify.
The candidate will be expected to physically come to the office (we are flexible/accommodating during COVID).
Requirements:

Four-year degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or similarLocated and able to work in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area2+ years front-end software development in a team environmentHighly proficient with CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, JS frameworksUnderstanding of mobile, web, and accessibility standards.Expertise with prototyping, designing and producing websites

Must be detail-oriented and have strong analytical and troubleshooting skillsHighly organized and can easily adapt to changeAbility to remain creative, prioritize and handle multiple projects while producing high quality work under deadlinesStrong team player with first-class spoken and written communication skills working with colleagues and clients at all levels to gather business requirements, present design ideas, receive and incorporate feedback, and explaining ideas and design principalsMust be able to document time effectively while working on client projects to accrue billable client hoursSelf-motivated and results driven

Experience:

As a paid professional website developer: 2 years (Required)

Starting rate: $17-18/hr + benefits package
