Data Engineer

6-11 month contract

Remote (anywhere in the United States)

Responsibilities:

Gather requirements, prototype, sandbox (beta) test, launch, and support/enhance/maintain Tableau dashboards that directly support Data Center Operations (DCO) and Logistics Teams globally.These products must be accurate down to the individual server and component level for operational action, and will serve as the source of truth for global operations going forward.

Required skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field5+ years of experience with Data modeling, SQL, ETL , Data Warehousing and Datalakes5+ years of experience writing SQL scripts / Expert knowledge in an enterprise class RDBMS2+ years of experience with enterprise-class Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Oracle BI, Penthao, etc.

Must be able to join tables and produce a statement / required output in SQL. Data Visualization experience

Preferred skills:

Excellent verbal/written communication & data presentation skills, including ability to succinctly summarize key findings and effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.Comfortable working in a Linux environmentExperience with MPP databases such as RedshiftKnowledge of AWS products and servicesExperience with Datalake developmentExposure to noSQL databases (such as DynamoDB, MongoDB)
