Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with advanced skills in understanding, analyzing, and translating business processes into system requirements in a collaborative environment. He or she must demonstrate project management knowledge across the full project lifecycle, with experience in multiple lifecycles (waterfall or Agile). Business or project experience is highly desired within a relevant domain such as Procurement, Finance, or IT services.The Business Analytics (BA) team is a lean, cross-functional analytics team. The Marketing Analytics team, a subset of Business Analytics, enables data-driven business decisions across advertising, marketing and digital domains across the customer journey, by delivering insights and analytics solutions that provide centralized access to data stitched together from disparate sources. The team is looking for a seasoned data engineer to help build and maintain our Marketing Analytics Platform (MAP).
- Lead and execute data migration activities for Procurement as we move from Coupa to Ariba as our procure-to-pay system.Work with our partners in IT and Accounting/Finance to identify use cases and requirements for the Ariba Procure-to-Pay system.Identify all control points and enable solution working alongside IT technical teams.Lead requirement gathering, documenting business processes and requirements for Procure-to-Pay solution.Drive and participate in the design and implementation of new enhancements, functionality, and process improvements.Work closely with technical teams and SMEs to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into technical designs that meet business needs.Lead testing of enhancements delivery and ensure quality of applications.Provide business process and system training to end-users.Act as liaison between technical developers and functional departments.Responsible to build and maintain marketing analytics platform, to ensure back-end analytics platform and infrastructure is highly performant and flexible for use by front-end data analysts/developers.Build and maintain customized scripts and ETL jobs to reports, dashboards, predictive models, and ad hoc analysis.Develop standardized and scalable solutions using various back-end, database, and data transformation tools and technologies (SQL, Alteryx, Spark, etc.) in accordance with best practices.Deep expertise in writing SQL joins, stored procedures, scripts, functions, views, indexing and execution plans.Define data flow design and appropriate data models to support ad-hoc analytics needs and assist in interpretation of data.Partner with marketing analyst and others to identify requirements, and transform data for digital analytics and reporting.Monitor analytics platform and infrastructure performance, and escalate issues with front-end teams and IT as needed.Ensure data accuracy and completeness across the data landscape.Communicate project status, risks, dependencies and roadblocks for technical and business audiences.
- Excellent communication skills required and ability to translate business needs into formal business requirements and functional requirements.Ability to effectively communicate and present to management across multiple departments.Lead meetings and collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts.Experience with data clean-up work and leading migration of data to new platforms.Self-starter, ability to lead and drive through to resolution with minimal supervision.Strong organizational skills and able to prioritize and adjust quickly to changing needs.Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Mathematics, Computer Science or Statistics, with significant quantitative course work is required.Experience with media analytics platforms such as Google Marketing Platform, Google Campaign Manager, Facebook and Adobe..Strong technical experience regarding data models, databases, data mining and querying techniques.Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.5 - 8 years of experience in SQL and ETL tools like SSIS, Alteryx, Talend and/or Informatica.3 5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting in digital marketing domainMaster's degree (Preferred).
- Expert at SQL and AlteryxIntermediate experience in Media or Digital DomainOverall At least 8 -10 years of experience requiredPrefer local but open for non-local as well
