Overview:

Well established Legal Services Firm is searching for a Database Engineer to Develop, Maintain, and Enhance Data-Driven Applications and Utilities. Will work closely with other Developers, Data Analysts, and Management to gather and complete Data-Related Business Initiatives, Automation, Reporting and Functionality Improvements. The selected Engineer will be Highly-Organized and able to work in Fast-Paced, Challenging Environments. Must have the ability to Prioritize and Support Multiple, Concurrent Initiatives. This position requires Extensive User Interface and strong English Communication Skills.

This position may initially begin on a contract basis and there is a strong likelihood that it will convert to a permanent position. For the right Candidate, they will hire as a permanent employee. Third Party Agencies will not be considered

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain applications, as well as expand functionality through automationDevelop and maintain user-facing tools (web/client) to manage data functions and workflowsDevelop and enhance inter-database collaboration and exchange of specific subsetsAutomate extraction of data from flat text filesAutomate data imports into various databasesExpand use of APIs to integrate with relevant 3rd party systemsMaintain documentation of developed solutions and contribute to existing documentation

Requirements:

2-5 years of Database Programming experience minimumStrong, current proficiency in SQL: T-SQL is a must have. Should have experience with Microsoft SSRSWill have current experience with .Net Framework, C# and VB.NetMust be detail-oriented to verify own workWill have the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently; prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met; communicate delays and escalate, as neededStrong knowledge and understanding of the principals of object-oriented programmingExperience with programming languages: C# (must), VB (highly desired), Python, Java, C++Experience with web services and restful APIs, along with Data Visualization Tools such as Tableau.
