Magento Front End Developer

All States Ag Parts is currently seeking a full-time, on-site Magento developer to join our team in Hudson, WI or De Soto, IA. Duties would primarily consist of developing new projects built using the Magento platform, creating and updating user experiences, and architecting new Magento e-commerce sites. Applicants will be expected to provide examples of work, if available, and may be asked to complete a coding challenge.

Basic Requirements:

Ability to design graphics and responsive layouts with a strong focus on the user experiencePerform a mix of front-end and some back-end development on an existing Magento siteDeploy code across development, staging and production environmentsTroubleshoot and resolve bugs found in existing Magento installationsIntegrate Magento with third party systems Minimum of 1-3 years PHP web development experienceMinimum of 1-3 years real-world e-commerce experience with Magento 2 development in the last 2 years Firm grasp of Git-based source controlCompetent with PHP object-oriented programming MVC/MVVM applications

Proven Skills & Technical Requirements:

Understanding of Magento's code structure, extension architecture, and theming hierarchyFollows Magento coding guidelines and best practicesThorough experience in customizing Magento's front-end components using layout XML, blocks, and templatesExpertise in authoring and extending Magento extensionsThorough knowledge of vanilla Magento feature set and configurationCompetent knowledge of e-commerce data organization and relationshipsStore catalog (categories/products/attributes)Sales orders (quotes/orders/invoices/shipments/credits)Competent in authoring JavaScript and using libraries such as jQueryCompetent in RESTful web services

Bonus Qualifications:

Past experience with designing responsive cross-client compatible E-MailPhotoshop proficiencyExperience in SEO and SEM managementExperience using Selenium Familiarity with LinuxExperience with ERP systems (SAP Business By Design)
