We currently have an opening for a Software Engineer in the Process Control Division, located in the Mon Valley suburbs of Pittsburgh. As an integral part of this highly skilled, innovative team, you will play a significant role in supporting our digital transformation and system modernization while providing critical services to our production operations. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the design, development, testing and implementation of digital solutions and process control systems.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to and support our digital transformationParticipate in and contribute to the design, development, configuration, and deployment of digital solutionsParticipate in, and / or lead high impact process control projects that provide financial benefits and result in improvements to safety, quality, and / or production yieldWork closely with the operations teams to understand requirements and identify improvement opportunities; translate into project or minor enhancement specifications, complete with work estimates and forecasted benefits.Design and maintain highly available and error resistant process control applications and systemsPlay key role in the new design and maintenance of modern process control supervisory systems

Specific Experience Required

Software Engineer / Developer with minimum of 1-2 years of experience developing in Java, C, C#, Visual Studio, R, and/or Python. Comfortable with both Linux and Windows environments.Development experience on PTC Thingworx IoT platform plusExperience with Tableau a plusExperience with SQL and Oracle a plusExperience with SCADA and HMI programming a plusExperience in a manufacturing environment desired

Personal Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer EngineeringEffective oral and verbal communication, team playerInitiative to generate improvement ideasMotivation to maintain a high level of productivity and self-directionDesire to learn established systems for purposes of modernization and support
