Job Summary:
We are looking for a Technical Writer with Content Management knowledge and/or experience to support global technical documentation projects. This person develops and designs instructional and informational tools needed to assure safe, appropriate, and effective use of our systems. This position combines strong communication skills with technical expertise. This person researches, plans, develops, and maintains online, on-system, and printed end-user documentation for Diagnostic hardware and software products. The ideal candidate will be able to gather requirements for, plan, and implement technologies supporting technical publications production activities. This person will effectively interpret detailed information and present it in the appropriate manner, drive projects from scheduling and planning, content development and management, and draft reviews through final edit, approval, and release. Excellent grammar, editing, organization, teamwork, and written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Works on projects that are complex. Independent action and initiative are required. Selects techniques and recommends modifications best suited to produce desired results. Consults frequently with Software Developers, Engineers and Customer facing advocates such as, Technical Support groups. Works closely with Project Teams, Project Management, Product Managers, other Technical Documentation representatives, and Management to obtain information. Performs necessary support tasks: coordinates with internal customers, ensures regulatory compliance, and obtains approvals.
