Job Description:

 

Senior Tableau / SQL Developer

You will manage the Tableau Server; including designing dashboards, managing big data, and establishing connection to data sources. Prepare data for use and create visualizations for the data extracted with the help of Tableau. Collect and process large volumes of data in various formats, structured and unstructured. Add or Create Dimensions, Measures and Calculations. Perform Data Modeling in Tableau Desktop. Identify patterns and meaningful insights from data by analyzing it. Develop Workbooks and Hyper Extracts on Tableau Desktop’s queries for improving performances. Examine glitches in business processes and resolve them. Provide Data analytics, data modeling, data correlation/ integration and data visualization (e.g., metrics and dashboards using leading Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau and ServiceNow report function. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Integrate multiple data streams and feeds from networks, infrastructure services, mission/ business applications into a near, real-time dashboard (heads up display) for use in troubleshooting and the presentation of situational awareness briefings to executive staff. Ability to utilize pre-built dashboards/add-ons within the system as well as be able to create custom dashboards and search queries to meet the ITOC needs. Provide recommendations/action plans for incorporating new data streams to present additional visualizations.

 

10+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, ETL & BI technologiesStrong analytic skills and ability to develop, and implement analytical data models and dashboard and reports using Tableau to enable customers to analyze data and make business decisions.Ability to work iteratively and converts business requirements quick prototypes with different Visualization optionsSolid understanding of Tableau presentation and data layer and implementation of Security with TableauExperience in rolling out Tableau as Self-service solution for large number of usersExtensive knowledge of data warehousing and information management best practices.Extensive experience defining and rationalizing complex data models within data warehousing environment.Extensive experience in defining, implementing, and executing data analysis concepts such as profiling, lineage, impact analysis, mappingHands on experience in Performance optimization, Query optimization.Hands on experience in Tableau reporting, Tableau server managementExperience in Architecting Visualization / Analytics using Tableau (both extracted and live connected data sources)Experience in building Integration of Tableau with various data sources like SQL Server,Teradata, HadoopAbility to consult business users to build Tableau dashboardsThis role will require collaboration with end users, project stakeholders, and support partners to identify needs, goals, metric measurements, and business models which will result in easy to understand interfaces and enable end users to quickly identify key themes within the dataGood understanding of Relational Databases, Relational Data model, SQL and concepts of implementing Data Level security in RDBMS
