Overview of the Role:
We're working with a great healthcare client who is ready to step up their Analytics / Data Science strategy. They are looking to add a full-time consultant to the team who has knowledge of high-level statistical analytics programming and has strong consulting skills. This role will focus on non-clinical/non-hospital settings.
If selected for this role, you must be able to work with business owners, Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers to understand the objectives of the business owner. In addition, it will be important for you to be able to retrieve data, organize that data into information, then interpret the data and its meaning. Once completed, you will be responsible for defining the ultimate conclusion of business directives derived from the analytical activities. #howexciting
Work with relational databases to understand potential causes of data quality issues.
Provide clinical process analysis and implementation of technical improvements in report development or automation.
Consolidate data in a cross functional environment (i.e. from multiple data sources including membership; claims/encounters; pharmacy; lab; radiology and provider).
Facilitate report production or data process development required to meet business needs.
You will travel 5% of the time.
You can work remotely during the pandemic; then in the office locally (relocation is available).
If so, here is what you will need to qualify for this role:
Required - Bachelor's degree in one of the following: IT, Data Science & Analytics, Business, Statistics, Accounting, Business Management, economics, finance, health care administration, public health administration, statistics, mathematics, or operations research…
Required - 5 years of programming experience in SAS, SQL, VBA, .net or equivalent statistical analytical programming language.
Required - 5 years of experience using rational database & end-user tools (e.g. SQL language) to query data sets & create reports.
Required - 3 years of SAS experience or with SAS certification.
Required - 3 years of experience with analytical manipulation and interpretation of large databases.
Required - 5 years of analytical consulting experience.
Required - Experience of using data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
Required - Proficient in MS office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
Required - You MUST be a self-starter with proven leadership skills in consulting and project management.
Healthcare experience (in health plan or in provider setting) preferred.
OR, in lieu of the degree requirement you must have a minimum 9 years of experience programming in SAS, SQL, VBA; net or equivalent statistical analytical programming language.
