Job Title               : Senior Java Developer (11109101)

Duration             : 6+ Months      

Location              : New York, NY - 10019

Rate                       : $600-$740/day on W2 (only W2 and no C2C)

 

Summary

The New York Credit Pricing and Electronic Markets Technology Development team operates as part of a Global Credit Pricing and Electronic Markets Technology team to develop systems used for the Global Credit Trading activity. It is a Front Office facing team which works directly with Traders and Business Management to provide high quality solutions both locally and as part of the global platform.  The Credit business has identified eTrading as a key area in which they would like to develop in terms of reliability and functionality hence success in this area is regarded as essential to help the business succeed. 

 

Responsibilities:

    Develop and maintain large application responsible for pricing and calculating spreads for 10000+ corporate bonds Optimize data flows and calculations to allow for expansion Carry out necessary changes in several libraries across the quant/IT stack (from core pricing to GUI)Communicate with quants, IT, and production support teamsCollaborate with a team of global developers to set specifications for new processesProvide second-line support of applications for front-office usersProvide presentations to Application Support, Trading, Quants, and other teamsParticipate in the SDLC process and constantly work to improve the process

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Math, Science or Engineering disciplineMinimum 5 years software development experience using Java 8+Experience in a front office trading environment Experience in large-scale system design and implementationSelf-starter, able to understand complex code split across several systemsUnderstanding of fixed income e-trading, ideally corporate bond pricing Able to communicate with quantsExperience with asynchronous and event driven programmingExperience developing real-time applicationsKnowledge of networks and topologiesFirm grounding of common algorithmsFamiliar working with LINUX environmentsFamiliar with Oracle / SQL Server Excellent oral and written communication skillsProactive team player with a “can-do” attitudeExcellent analytical problem solverAttention to detail and thoroughness a mustAbility to design and implement unit tests (with JUnit) and integrate into automated build process End-to-end ownership – ensure the code that you write is carried through to production

 

Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience developing for global credit business and products such as CDS, High Yield and Investment Grade corporates, ETFs, etc.Previous exposure to low latency programming and multi-threaded environments.Knowledge of TIBCO RendezvousIon Marketview skills and knowledge
