Summary of Opportunity

This VP Digital Services spans multiple responsibilities including managing websites, UI/UX, and relationship with SEO/SEM, as well as project management, content management, and analytics. You will be responsible for the advancement of a new website, platform services, and the ongoing development of the company's current websites. You will also be responsible for oversight of day-to-day change management activities on all websites, setting and upholding company standards for design, launching new web builds, coordinating local website implementations, enhancement testing and quality-control.

You will be the go-to person for all web and digital marketing activities. This role is responsible for leading the requirements, functionality, design, code and modifications of all external and internal websites, from layout to function and according to approved requirements. The objective is to differentiate New Horizons by developing a visually appealing website platform that features user-friendly design, clear navigation and sophisticated content management systems. Ultimately, these work efforts, using the latest technologies, will drive positive lead generation and a highly efficient supply chain for all of New Horizons and their franchisers.

Job Duties

  • Lead agencies, IT providers, and internal team members, where appropriate, to execute all website and web-based marketing activities
  • Assess and lead development of enhancement specification documents to improve the current website(s) and other online projects
  • Assess and propose new website, platform and digital marketing strategies, including costs and timelines in an Agile environment
  • Act as the key project manager for new website builds and platform functionality.
  • Coordinate web projects across departments. Consult with appropriate staff to develop new content
  • Coordinate and monitor marketing funnel activities that involve domain management, design, digital marketing programs such as paid search, organic optimization (SEO), content/blog implementation and reference links
  • Manage regular reporting and tracking, and report metrics appropriately and flagging issues for internal stakeholders
  • Perform regular reviews of the website to ensure content accuracy, timeliness and relevance. Deploy website builds, test accessibility and functionality from a variety of environments
  • Develop thorough, insightful recommendations to improve design, technical, content, on-page and off-page optimization essentials
  • Use Google Analytics and other monitoring applications to provide performance metrics about web usage and management reporting. Analyze, interpret and present website analytics findings into clear, concise reports, as required
  • Analyze and report program performance; provide recommendations and results for improvement and new digital marketing programs
  • Assist with the development and management of department budgets and metrics.
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Assist with the design and conduct of training sessions for users


  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience in website development, and digital marketing platforms
  • Experience with JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web Programming Skills, E-Commerce, cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, ADA compliance (WCAG 2.0), Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Multimedia Content Development, API's, Agile, Jira
  • Experience with a variety of CMS systems
  • Experience with scrum and project management processes, primarily using an Agile development methodology
  • Understanding of UI and search engine-friendly website designs
  • Ability to create design and technical recommendations for web development
  • Deep knowledge in SEO, SEM, content, and website analytics
  • Higher Education or Adult Professional/Career Education experience preferred
  • Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units
  • Contribute to the total effectiveness of the Marketing department, communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas and working as a positive, engaged team
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Regular exposure to business stakeholders and executive management, as well as the authority and scope to apply your expertise to many interesting technical problems
  • Analytical abilities and experience with CRM, CMS, Shopping Cart, process workflows, and data analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • Financial acumen to recommend marketing spend for marketing campaigns, such as paid search and social
  • A self-driven work ethic and model
  • Critical thinker and continuous improvement drive for results
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with executive management
  • Ability to travel
  • Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
