Position Title: Quality Engineer. Work Location: 1000 Logistics Center Drive, Fairburn, Georgia 30213. Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM). Annual Salary: $70,990.40~82,409.60. Job Duties: Identify opportunities to improve product quality or reduce costs. Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions on product nonconformance situations with suppliers, assembly, and customers. Determine the root causes of failures and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, materials, or processing methods. Coordinate with production managers to schedule required maintenance and/ or upgrades of automation systems. Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and measuring and test equipment and to develop preventative actions. Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations. Troubleshoot and support automation systems for local and remote locations. Troubleshoot new and existing product problems involving designs, materials, or production processes. Review customer specifications for manufacturability and completeness. Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other technical information to facilitate production processes. Modify and troubleshoot complex, automated manufacturing equipment and systems. Increase the efficiency of our operations and the quality of our after-sales logistics and supply chain management. Work with equipment design materials and technicians to refine the company's systems, decrease costs and increase the quality of our services. Test design and process of new product introduction and measure quality and production performance to meet FPY (first pass yield) target. Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Engineering or other major with concentration in Quality Assurance or a related field, 2 years of experience in quality assurance through use of statistical analysis software programs (i.e. Minitab) to create control plans; root cause analysis using quality tools such as 5-whys, and Fishbone diagrams to drive corrective actions; and monitoring and using test/process data to drive yield improvements in FPY (first pass yield).
