Content Writer/Communications Writer

Location: Alpharetta, GA

This role requires:

  • Strong editing and proofreading skills and attention to detail, including grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to adjust for tone and voice for different audiences
  • Quick learner (processes, industry, in-house style)
  • Willingness to work on template-based tasks, such as customizing existing materials
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and handle short deadlines
  • Strong technical skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro (experience with SharePoint, InDesign and/or Adobe Experience Manager is a plus)
  • Experience in a regulated industry, such as health care or insurance, is a plus


Duties include:

  • Write and edit web content, open enrollment collateral (flyers), ads, letter and email communications and PowerPoint presentations, with special attention to succinct and compelling copy
  • Write and edit content for B2B and B2C email campaigns, recruitment materials and other sales enablement materials to produce actionable results
  • Customize existing materials for specific clients
  • Help transform our current printed documents to digital when possible
  • Partner closely with designers, video producers, translators and web developers


Ideally, candidates should be able to provide writing samples upfront (attachments or links to full-length samples, not just excerpts) During the interview, we also provide a writing and proofreading test.

Job Description:

This is a position responsible for producing written materials for B2C and B2B external audiences, including current and prospective enrollees, dentists, groups, brokers and corporate audiences across all channels such as web, social media and print. This role will support various teams in the enterprise including Marketing, Sales, People, Communications and Operations. Requires a keen eye for detail and strong grasp of spelling and grammar. Writing should be succinct, engaging, in a voice appropriate to the audience and follow brand standards.
